KATIE HARGROVE

Katie Hargrove is a songwriter and artist hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee. Katie’s style is rooted in creating bold melodies influenced by R&B and left-of-centre pop. She has performed alongside national acts such as Kris Allen, Go Radio, Charlie Parr and others. Her music has been featured on TV networks like MTV, Netflix, Freeform, Starz, ABC, HBO and more.

Her self-titled debut EP was released in March 2017 and quickly charted in the Top 100 on iTunes. The album was nominated for “Best R&B Album” by A2iM in June 2018, alongside Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Mavis Staples, Kelela and Jamilla Woods. Katie’s nomination was also featured in Billboard’s June 2018 Pride Issue.

Katie also co-hosts a podcast called ‘Just Get to Chorus‘ with Drea Rose. From songwriting to storytelling, the co-hosts, take a deep dive into the lives of some of the most fascinating people. As queer-identifying women, Drea and Katie set the stage to ask the uncomfortable questions, while building a safe space for listeners and guests alike.
