TED BARNES
Ted Barnes is a UK based musician, songwriter and composer.
Best known for his work with British songwriter Beth Orton, he co-wrote, recorded and played live with Beth for over ten years. As well as touring extensively worldwide they received Mercury Price nominations and a Brit Award.
After parting ways, Ted formed the band ‘Clayhill’ with Ali Friend (Red Snapper) and the late Gavin Clark (Sunhouse), releasing four albums and numerous soundtracks for Shane Meadows.
From 2002 he released four solo albums with much critical acclaim, the latest of which is, ’17 POSTCARDS’.
For the past 15 years, when not working with songwriters, he has been writing for theatre, circus soundtracks, installations and production music, alongside long-term collaborator Ali Friend.
